Shaina Hall (she/her/hers)

Shaina Hall is a fourth-year Doctoral Student in Counseling Psychology at the College of Education. She currently serves as a Legacy Board Chair for the Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA).

Her experience as a student leader has facilitated her passion for advocacy, community building, and making Black lives and experiences matter. Her research interests are race-related stress;coping behaviors; integrative behavioral health; social justice, advocacy, and policy; and social determinants of health in Black women.

Shaina also works at the YWCA Greater Austin as a clinical intern where she continues her work with the Black community and helps them find their voices and meaning in their experiences.
