Sascha Daniels (they/she)

Sascha Daniels is a former secretary for BGSA. They are originally from Washington, D.C., and a graduate of West Virginia University, where they earned their bachelor’s degree in World Languages, Literature, and Linguistics with a concentration in German and a minor in Japanese Studies. Daniels is a three-time U.S. State Department alum, having received the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship to study abroad in Japan in 2016, as well as the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) scholarship to study in Germany in 2011 and the Fulbright US Student English Teaching Assistant award to teach in Germany in 2018..

Sascha currently serves as the communications and outreach officer for Fulbright Noir, which is the first Fulbright alumni affinity group to highlight the experiences of Black award recipients and provide resources for Black scholars wishing to apply for the grant.

In their free time, Sascha enjoys watching Netflix, caring for her special needs cat, dancing, cooking, and hiking new trails around Austin.
