Marrell Jones (he/him/his)

Marrell is a second-year Master of Global Policy Studies student at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. He currently serves as the Co-President of the Black Graduate Student Association and is a former VP and Volunteer & Community Engagement chair for the organization.

As a part of his degree program, Marrell specializes in Sport for Development & Peace, in which he studies the use of public wellness & humanities policy as a vehicle for economic development counteracting negative outcomes for at-risk populations in conflict regions.

Upon graduating, Marrell plans to begin his professional career in government relations. Other passions of his are hiking, traveling, environmental stewardship, and his support role at the George Washington Carver Museum in East Austin.
