Gloria Stout (she/her/hers)

Gloria is a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Human Development and FamilyScience (HDFS) within the College of Natural Science (CNS). She is originally from Richmond, Virginia and graduated with a B.A. in psychology from The University of Virginia.

She currently works with Dr. Fatima Varner and the African American Resilience in Context (AARC) lab. Her research interests broadly focus on understanding how familial and community factors may hinder or facilitate positive adolescent development among marginalized populations, specifically Black youth.

In her spare time, she likes to binge TV shows, walk along the river and try out all of the amazing food trucks in Austin.
